Bill Hubbard Promoted to CEO at Hermetic Solutions Group

MANASQUAN, NJ – July 31, 2017 – Hermetic Solutions Group announces that its current President, Bill Hubbard, has been named to CEO.

Per Chairman Rick Ferraid, “Since my retirement in March, the Board of Directors has been conducting a formal process to select the new CEO of Hermetic Solutions Group (HSG).  During that time, Bill has been President and acting CEO.  There are many continuing opportunities to capitalize on the combination of PA&E, Litron and Hi-Rel and to create a truly integrated company – Hermetic Solutions Group.  I’m excited to announce that Bill Hubbard has been promoted from President to Chief Executive Officer and will drive that integration.  Bill has the experience and tools HSG needs to capitalize on the numerous opportunities in front of us and to successfully address the inevitable challenges we will face.”

Bill and the rest of the HSG team will continue their post-merger integration efforts that will position HSG as the premier provider of harsh environment products and services that meet the evolving needs of its customer base.

ShoreView Industries acquires Hi-Rel Group and merges it with PA&E and Litron to form Hermetic Solutions Group

ESSEX, CT – December 23, 2016 – Hi-Rel Group LLC announces that it has been acquired by ShoreView Industries and merged with PA&E and Litron to form Hermetic Solutions Group LLC. The company will be the market leader in hermetic solutions.  Rick Ferraid, current Chairman and CEO of Hi-Rel Group LLC, will be Chairman of the newly formed company, and Bromley Beadle, CEO of PA&E Group, will be CEO of Hermetic Solutions Group. Ed Phinney, President of PA&E will continue in that role. Mark Plasse will continue in his role as President of Litron.

Hi-Rel Receives 5th Award from Raytheon

September, 2016 – Hi-Rel was recently recognized by Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems with a 4 Star Supplier Operational Excellence Award at a June award ceremony held in Boston, Massachusetts.

This award recognizes suppliers for outstanding On-Time Delivery and Quality Performance during the 2015 calendar year.  This is Hi-Rel’s fifth such award from IDS.  Hi-Rel has also received five such awards from Raytheon’s SAS division.

Hi-Rel Acquires Sofield Manufacturing

ESSEX, CTJanuary 14, 2016 – Hi-Rel Group announced that it has acquired Sofield Manufacturing, a leading manufacturer of precision metal components for the microelectronic packaging industry. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 1990, in Ridgefield Park, NJ, Sofield Manufacturing is an industry leader specializing in deep draw stamping, progressive die work, and custom EDM and CNC services with capabilities in lapping, tumbling and deburring.  Sofield’s intricate designs support the needs of high reliability microelectronics customers in the medical, industrial, semiconductor and defense / aerospace industries.

Hi-Rel adds engineering staff to support customer growth

The Hi-Rel Group, a leading manufacturer of customized metal microelectronic components, announced that it has hired Andrew Tiernan as Senior Engineer. In this newly created role, Andrew will be located at our Hi-Rel Lids facility in Norfolk, UK and will provide support on the development of new products and associated process development. Andrew will liaise closely with customers to ensure that the solutions Hi-Rel provides meet their business objectives and goals.

Andrew brings over 10 years of process engineering experience in the microelectronics industry to Hi-Rel, most recently at API (formerly RF2M) and his tenure has focused on providing exceptional technical and manufacturing service to provide the customer with solutions – from design to order fulfillment. Andrew’s process engineering experience is complemented with University certifications in Business Studies, as well as in IT and Computing. Quite simply, Andy puts customer needs at the center of his priorities and Hi-Rel is excited to have him on board.

Hi-Rel announces promotion of Tom Dolan, Jr.

ESSEX, CT –March 18, 2015 –

Hi-Rel Group, a leading manufacturer of customized metal microelectronic components, announced that it has promoted Tom Dolan, Jr. to the position of Vice President of Business Development for the Hi-Rel Group.

Tom Dolan began working at Hi-Rel Products in Essex in 1995 after completing his undergraduate studies at University of Rhode Island where he earned a Business Administration degree. In 2000, Mr. Dolan was promoted to Vice President and was responsible for overseeing the operations of Hi-Rel US. In 2009, Mr. Dolan assumed the role of President. Mr. Dolan has over 15 years of industry experience. During his tenure as President, Tom grew the business approximately two-fold prior to selling the company in 2013.

Joe Hale joins Hi-Rel with over 25 years of progressive experience in engineering and technical sales roles at various glass and ceramic manufacturers within the electronics market, most recently at SCHOTT North America, Inc. With a BS in Ceramic Engineering and an MBA, Joe brings with him unique technical problem solving skills that support customers from design through manufacture and field use.
